“ This is one of my go to places in Jalan Alor Market. It is Chinese Malaysian with a focus on seafood. I love the Taiwanese Sprouts and you cannot go wrong with any seafood dish. They offer three sautee flavors. As a warning, this market gets CRAZY crowded in the evening. Most recently, I ordered a fruit drink and the glass was filthy. The management apologized. They also allowed me to change an order when I thought the taste was off. No discount but at least they graciously changed my order. ”
“ The service was super friendly and fast. It was such a busy environment since the whole street is lined with restaurants but I enjoyed the liveliness. I got the sauce-soaked tofu as well as the steamed crabs with ginger and green scallions, and they were delish! The crabs were definitely my favorite. The tofu kind of tasted like tap water at times but maybe it was an off day. ”
“ Kuala Lumpur - Located on the Jalan Alor, which is like a large outdoor food court. Many vendors, restaurants, shops, buskers, tourists and locals mingling along the street. Overall, a nice, relaxing atmosphere on a warm fall evening. Most restaurants, including the Sai Woo, were packed. Menu offered many choices - sort of overwhelming at first - but lots of seafood so I ordered a mixed seafood stir-fry, which was very good. Nothing unique but adequate serving size and tasty. Service was excellent considering how busy. Asked for a local beer and was served Anchor (European!). My table was next to the path in the middle of the street so enjoyed the buskers and people-watching. ”
